Graduate Training and Rotation
Training and Development
We operate a two-year graduate rotation scheme where you will be given every possible opportunity and resource to help you achieve membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) by completing the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC).
As well as learning on the job, Allsop has a comprehensive graduate training scheme which is an integral part of our strategy to develop well-rounded surveyors. It is organised and run by one of our existing graduates and overseen by a partner.
Each graduate is allocated an APC Counsellor and Supervisor (some of whom are current APC Assessors), who will meet with you regularly and guide you through your 2 years of training.
In order to prepare you for your end-point assessment, we also provide graduates with support from an external provider, dedicated study leave and frequent mock interviews with Surveyors from all positions within the company, from recently qualified through to Partner level.
Allsop currently have an APC pass rate of 91%.
Once qualified
The vast majority of our graduates who qualify go onto enjoy long-term careers with us, with 36% of current partners in the firm having started on the Allsop graduate programme.
It is in our interest as much as yours that our investment in you does not stop once you have passed your APC. We will continue to help you develop and achieve your goals and aspirations, whilst encouraging you to build your own network of clients and contacts to help grow our business. We will offer further training in your preferred Real Estate specialism and ensure that your talents are being fully utilised.
As a firm we need to constantly develop our people and our skills to ensure that we continue to provide a first-class service to our clients.
All surveyors take part in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and every member of staff receives regular appraisals which enable individuals to identify what areas to focus on going forward.
Graduate Rotation Scheme
Graduates will be part of our London rotation programme and will gain experience in both commercial and residential specialist departments whilst completing up to four 6-month rotations. We encourage all our graduates to participate in a practical and active way in the day-to-day workings of the department and you will be given individual responsibility from the start whilst being exposed to a range of clients, customers and properties.
