Allsop announces next senior partner

  • Allsop has named Andrew Boyd as its incoming senior partner, commencing from 01 April 2025
  • Scott Tyler to stand down as senior partner, having fulfilled role since 2016, while remaining a partner in Allsop’s national commercial investment function

Allsop, a leading UK property consultancy, has named Andrew Boyd as its next Senior Partner, with Scott Tyler to step down from the position following the completion of his two terms in the role which commenced in February 2016. Andrew will take up the position on the 1st of April 2025, while Scott will remain an equity partner within the commercial national investments team, a position he has been fulfilling alongside his role as Senior Partner.

Andrew, who is currently head of Allsop’s Residential Transactional and Living Markets (RTLM) team will become the partnership’s 7th Senior Partner in 118 years, having been founded in 1906. The appointment will be for an initial four-year term.

Since joining the business from Savills in 2016, Andrew has played a key role in the expansion of the residential side of the business. As well as leading the RTLM team – which advises on investments into asset classes such as residential development, land, build-to-rent (BTR), and purpose-built student accommodation – Andrew is a  director of Allsop Letting & Management, one of the UK’s leading operators of BTR, multi-family and single-family rental accommodation.

Allsop, UK’s largest property auction house and market leader in both commercial and residential auctions, is continuing to invest in and grow its teams specialising in capital markets, leasing, valuation, recoveries & receivership, professional services such as lease advisory and business rates, and the living markets, along with its associated lettings and management business.

Scott Tyler, Senior Partner and commercial national investment partner, said: ‘’Andrew is well-known as one of the UK’s leading residential development and investment specialists, and has been a member of Allsop’s management board since 2019. He has been a major part of our success and growth on the residential side of the business, where growth has been 54% over the last three years and residential income is now pushing towards 50% of our overall turnover.

“I’m delighted Andrew is the partnership’s next Senior Partner and I look forward to the firm going from strength to strength over the next few years and beyond. Andrew and I will now be working side-by-side for the next five months focused on clients, partners and staff, delivering further growth and opportunities for a seamless handover. The business is in really good shape and, in the first six months of this financial year, we are trading significantly ahead of target. We now aim to push to new heights by year end as all markets start to improve and the interest rate environment eases in the right direction.

“As for me, I intend to continue to be a central part of the firm’s success, remaining as an equity partner, and returning full-time into my ‘old day job’ within the commercial national investment team, continuing to grow Allsop’s capital markets offer.”

Andrew Boyd, partner and head of residential transactional and living markets, said: ‘’I am honoured to be elected by my peers as the next Senior Partner. Allsop is a fantastic business with exceptional people and a unique culture. Scott has been a great Senior Partner who on many occasions over the last nine years has steadied the ship as we navigated generational events in a short space of time such as the EU referendum, Brexit itself, Covid, the war in Ukraine, and dramatic rises in interest rates.

“We are fortunate to have outstanding people right across the business and, following an excellent start to the financial year, we are looking to capitalise on an improving macro environment. I look forward to working closely with the firm’s core leadership team comprising Lesley Connor as CFO/COO, as well as the recently appointed residential and commercial managing partners, Richard Adamson and Mark Gower respectively.’’

Allsop clients include Abrdn, British Land, Citibank, Columbia Threadneedle, CBRE IM, Grainger, Kennedy Wilson, LandSec and Workspace.
