Allsop Propchat – 2019 review and 2020 predictions in the commercial auction property market
Allsop have released their latest series of podcasts, reflecting on what happened in 2019 and looking ahead at what we might expect in 2020.
George Walker, Partner and Auctioneer chats to Ben Beck Investment Surveyor from Columbia Threadneedle Investments about the highs and lows of the commercial auction market based on topics covered in the commercial auction annual market review 2019
Within the two podcast episodes they discuss how auction as a route to market has delivered positive results both for Columbia Threadneedle’s funds and buyers in the auction room, the type of assets that are suitable to sell at auction, the benefits of the combined private treaty and auctions approach, along with rental and sector growth in the regions including the opportunities that exist outside the South East.
They then go on to examine where the opportunities lie for investors in 2020, the continued increase in popularity of the alternatives sector and what they consider to be the right mix when looking at an asset to provide value, investment growth and security.
