Allsop releases 250-lot catalogue for February residential auction

Allsop, a leading property consultancy and the UK’s largest property auction house, has released the catalogue for its February residential auction, featuring 250 lots across the UK.

The catalogue features a mixture of residential and mixed-use investment and development opportunities,  including a former pub turned freehold block of six self-contained flats in Whitechapel, a grade II listed mixed-use building in Covent Garden and a freehold building in Leicester, with planning permission for a development comprising a commercial ground floor and 18 flats above.

This auction follows Allsop’s strong start to 2025, having raised over £32 million at its first residential auction of the year - £19 million more than in its first auction of 2024. In 2024, Allsop raised over £1 billion from residential and commercial auctions.

Richard Adamson, partner and auctioneer at Allsop, said: “Following the resounding success of our January auction, where we raised £32 million, we are delighted to release another bumper catalogue featuring 250 lots. The strong results from January’s sale indicates continued demand for well-priced assets across all sectors. We are seeing buyers who were hesitant last year return to the market, which is an encouraging sign for the year ahead. Given the high volume of enquiries, we anticipate a busy few weeks leading up to the auction and look forward to another successful sale for the team.”

Auction highlights include:

  • Lot 18: Whitechapel, London – a vacant freehold building internally arranged to provide six self-contained flats, extending to approximately 384.6 sq. ft, guided at £2m+
  • Lot 20: Covent Garden, London – an attractive freehold grade II listed mid terrace mixed-use building providing a restaurant premises and two self-contained flats, guided at £2m+
  • Lot 114: West Hampstead, London – a freehold building with planning permission a commercial ground floor unit and 18 self-contained flats, guided at £1.3m+
  • Lot 151: Leicester – a freehold building with planning permission, a commercial ground floor unit and 18 self-contained flats, guided at £1.3m+
