100% success rate at recent William Hill commercial auction

The commercial auction team at Allsop are pleased to confirm our 100% success rate on 57 lots offered in their William Hill Auction. The online only auction on Thursday 20th May raised £9M.
All 57 properties were to be let on new leases and the majority had break options every three years.
Lot sizes ranged between £633,000 to £63,000 and yields from 3.3% to 15.6%. The average lot size was £157,000.
Geographically 45% of the value was in the North of England, 28% was in Scotland and 16% in London and the South East
Tom Hanson, Senior Associate commented:
“The results reinforce our view that there is clearly liquidity in the market with cash buyers undeterred by the turbulence in the financial markets, taking a long-term view.”
He added:
“There was a lot of competition for lots, with over 220 registered bidders for this auction and 23 active bidders vying for the most popular lot”.
A highlight from the auction was Lot 1 in Uxbridge, Middlesex. The upper floor is sold off on a long lease and the ground floor let to William Hill organisation on a new 15 year lease. It sold for £300,000 (5.82% NIY)
Allsop have previously represented William Hill, selling lots in their December, March and February sales, this brings the total raised to £23m across the four auctions.
