Getting ahead of the budget - The politics and economics podcast

In our second podcast of the year, Auctioneers George Walker and Richard Adamson have a candid chat with Seb Verity, Allsop’s Head of Research, to share his views on the economy, interest rates and the property market.

They cover topics including:

  • Regular review of the auction market after the first sale
  • How the economy is really faring?
  • What scope is there for tax cuts in the March 6th Budget?
  • What tax cuts are most likely in the context of a General Election year?
  • What impact is likely in the property market from a change of Government?
  • Why 9th May 2024 is such an important date?

All these questions and more are addressed, with some interesting interpretations from the front line of property sales where Allsop auctions have already sold £120m this year at auction.
